Little Mix have spoken of the pressures of fame as star Jesy Nelson continues to take time off due to "private medical reasons".
Three of the foursome appear on The Jonathan Ross Show this weekend and detail how tough their decade in the music industry has been.
Singer Perrie Edwards, 27, said the girl group was shocked at how tough the business can be, going into it with wide-eyed optimism ten years back after rising to fame on reality show The X Factor.
She said: “I don’t think we expected it to be this hard.
“When you’re young and you think of being a pop star, you think, ‘Oh I want everyone to love me and ask for my autograph…’ then you get thrown into it and you’re like, ‘Holy s*** balls it’s a lot’.
“We don’t rest, we don’t sleep.
“But we love success so we’re willing to work for it and it’s been an amazing 10 years.”

Bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 29, said: “People don’t see how hard it is, the things that go on behind the scenes.
“People don’t understand the pressure. People sometimes see pop stars and think, ‘Oh it is glam and glitz’, but really it’s hard.”
And Jade Thirlwall, 27, added: “We’ve got each other, that’s the beauty of being in a band.
“We just stay grounded with our friends and family.

“When we get time off we go straight home and see the family. “Our mams would be the first to tell us off if we were getting a bit big-headed.”
Singer Jesy, 29, revealed she ‘needed time off’ from the band just one week before announcing she was taking ‘an extended break.’
She said the group welcomed a break in lockdown as they were ‘never not with each other’ due to their busy schedules.

Asked if they’ve ever trashed a hotel room, Perrie revealed to Jonathan: “We call it therapy. “It’s our own therapy that we invented – when we’re upset and angry we throw fruit at the wall.
“We do clear it up after. So it’s not trashing… It feels good though, you should try it.”
She also admitted to the telly host during the chat she once sent an explicit message meant for an ex-boyfriend to his dad instead.
Perrie said: “It was the most mortifying moment of my entire life. “I sent a selfie of my face and loads of messages. I can’t even say [what the messages said].
“Like really naughty ones. Like really, really naughty messages.
“His mam messaged the next day to say, the iCloud is still connected.. it was the most mortifying thing ever, but kind of funny.”
