Rebel's health-kick won't be a huge surprise to her 10.5million Instagram followers, as the US-based star has been keeping them updated over the past year or so.

The star's social media profile features endless jaw-dropping snaps, with Rebel frequently highlighting her love of surfing.

Rebel – who is also a Law graduate – started making a name for herself in the industry when she moved to the US back in 2010.

Her small role in the 2011 blockbuster film Bridesmaids, followed by a supporting part in the 2012 comedy Bachelorette led Rebel to what would be her breakthrough role as Fat Amy in the Pitch Perfect film series.

From 2012 until 2017, the actress portrayed the larger-than-life university student, but ever since the third and final movie, Rebel has been on a mission to transform her lifestyle.

In a 2019 interview with People Magazine, Rebel revealed that 2018 was the "year of fun", 2019 was the "year of love and filled with amazing dates", and 2020 was going to be "the year of health".

Her goals for transforming her outlook on health was reportedly inspired by a luxurious break to an Australian wellness centre along with her friend, Carly Steel.

The medical detox centre, VivaMayr, saw Rebel follow a nutritional plan called the Mayr Method, which worked for the star meaning she stuck to it and as a result, has dropped over 30kg.

However, that's not all the star did, as she enlisted the help of personal trainer Jono Castano who has certainly been putting Rebel through her paces by the looks of her Instagram.

Being an Aussie, it's no surprise the star is a huge fan of surfing, and she regularly posts videos and pictures of herself in the sea.

One image sees Rebel posing in the crystal-blue waters of a stunning beach as she dons a red wetsuit.

Captioning the image, Rebel told her fans that they should "go for it" if they want to "be a lil bit better this week".

She wrote: "It’s never too late to improve yourself – to improve your health, your heart, your happiness, your harmony.

"For everyone out there just trying to be a lil bit better this week: go for it! Every bit counts. Every effort is worth it."

The hilarious actress ended the post with the infamous L'Oreal quote: "You’re worth it".

Attracting over 600,000 likes on the post, celebrity pals rushed to comment their praise below.

Fitness fanatic and former SAS: Who Dares Wins host Ant Middleton was one of the first to comment, telling Rebel she should write a book about her transformation.

He said: "You need to put pen to paper!

"Now that would be a book that would take pride of place on the shelf… DO IT!!!"
