'He looks all cute' – Loftus-Cheek reveals how Chelsea star Kante lulls opposition into false sense of security

RUBEN LOFTUS-CHEEK has hailed 'cute' Chelsea team-mate N'Golo Kante.

But the Blues ace admitted that the Frenchman 'rattles' team-mates in training.

Kante, 30, has been a revelation since moving to England with Leicester in 2015.

He ditched the Foxes for Chelsea a year later – when he first started playing with Loftus-Cheek.

Asked by Chunkz if Kante makes the whole Blues squad 'smile every day', for the latest episode of Assumptions on the UMM YouTube channel, the England international replied: "He does.

"He don't even try (to make everyone smile).

"You know, he's not even trying, we just see him and he looks all cute.

"Smiling and you’re just like 'aww'.

"But then he’ll come on the pitch and just rattle you."

Kante's trophy cabinet includes two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, Champions League, Europa League and World Cup.

And Loftus-Cheek, 25, reckons that his side have a good chance of adding to that haul this season.

Asked if his side could win the league this season, he added: "I like to think so.

"You have to be confident, man. You know what I’m saying?

"We're playing well. We're not conceding goals. That’s the main thing, we're solid at the back."

Kante has struggled for fitness this season – only starting eight of Chelsea's 20 Premier League matches.

This has opened up opportunities for Loftus-Cheek, who had spent last season on loan at Fulham.

He has made 17 appearances for the Blues this term and will be targeting a return to Gareth Southgate's England squad in 2022 ahead of the Qatar World Cup.
