Corrie star Tina OBriens age revealed after 23 year-long acting career

Long-standingCoronation Street actressTina O’Brien recently left fans speechless after her appearance on This Morning.

Joining hosts Alison Hammon and Dermot O’Leary on the sofa earlier this week, the soap star discussed all things Corrie as well asher daughter Scarlett’s new acting career.

But after the interview opened with a montage of the Corrie favourite, many viewers were left shocked by how little 38 year old Tina has aged over the years.

Having secured a role on Coronation Street back in 1999 as Sarah Platt, the actress was just 16 when she joined the ITV family.

And with over two decades on screen, fans quickly took to social media to comment on her age defying looks.

As one person wrote: “Tina O’Brien doesn’t age at all, does she? #ThisMorning”.

Another user agreed and stated: “Tina O’Brien hasn’t aged in 23 years #Corrie #ThisMorning”.

Meanwhile someone else commented: “#ThisMorning @thismorning Awe, just love Tina O'Brien and her character. Her daughter is so cute. Tina doesn't look old enough to have a daughter that age”.

While interviewing the 38 year old, former X Factor presenter Dermot also brought up Tina’s daughter’s acting career.

13 year old Scarlett, who Tina shares with ex Ryan Thomas, is set to follow in her parents’ footsteps after landing a role on the upcoming BBC reboot of Waterloo Road.

Speaking about meeting the youngster during a book tour, former X Factor presenter Dermot admitted thathe’d predicted her success.

48 year old Dermot explained: “I did a talk – unbeknown to me, I didn't know she was your daughter – I did a talk at Scarlett's school and at the end we went for a book tour, and they were like, 'Any questions?', and there was this girl in the front row…”

“Was she front and centre?!" Tina joked. "She always manages to get there, wherever she is in life.”

Dermot continued: “There was no doubt who the star was at this school. She was lovely, she was so welcoming.”

Breaking the news of her upcoming role on Instagram, Scarlett’s uncle and Emmerdale legendAdam Thomas – who is also set to appear in the drama – wrote: “My very first day back @waterlooroad …not only was it my first day, but it was my first scene with my lil niece @scarlettjthomas26.”

He added: “Am just in awe of this girl, could watch her all day every day! …can not wait for you guys to see her in action! What a special day. Waterloo road is back.”
