Coronavirus: Tipperary hurling team following HSE advice after training camp in Spain

The Tipperary hurling team are following the advice of the HSE, after returning from a training camp in Spain.

The All-Ireland champions jetted off to Alicante following their elimination from the National League at the hands of Galway last Sunday.

Since their departure, the coronavirus situation escalated in both Ireland and Spain, and as a result they were consulted by officials upon their return.

“The Tipperary senior hurling team were on a warm weather training camp in south-eastern Spain from Monday 9th March to Friday 13th March,” read a statement, released on Saturday afternoon.

“The travelling party stayed in private accommodation where there were no other residents and remained in this private location for the duration of their stay.

“They followed HSE and WHO advice in relation to protection against COVID-19 at all times while travelling and while on the training camp.
