Amazon Freevee has revealed when Neighbours fans can expect the first batch of classic episodes and we couldn’t be more excited.
The Aussie soap was rescued by Freevee last year, after previously being axed by Channel 5, who cited their desire to invest in ‘original UK drama’ as the reason for their controversial decision.
In addition to new adventures with Ramsay Street’s finest, fans can also revisit the past, with a number of classic episodes set to stream ahead of its big comeback.
Fans have been desperate to find out more information about when they can expect to revisit Erinsborough’s greatest outings, and Amazon Freevee has finally spilled the beans, confirming that the first selection will be available to stream on February 23.
Episodes featuring some of the biggest Neighbours stars, including Kylie Minogue, Margot Robbie, Russell Crow and Liam Hemsworth, will be available to watch on this date, in addition to the entire 2012 series of the show.
Fans will recall that 2012 was a big year for the show, featuring Chris Pappas and Aidan Foster’s history-making kiss, as well as Susan Kennedy deciding to take up pole dancing.
If that wasn’t enough to whet your appetite, then we have more good news, as a season of Neighbours will launch every month, as well as a number of free ad-supported streaming channels, including Neighbours: Looking Back, and Best of Neighbours.
Isn’t that just the best news ever?
This, coupled with news of Brookside streaming on STV Player, has made February a month to celebrate for classic soap fans!
Neighbours, meanwhile, will return to screens with NEW episodes in the second half of this year.
Production is set to commence in early 2023 with a world premiere on Freevee in both the UK and the US slated for the second half of the year.
New outings of the serial drama will also be available to stream on Prime Video in Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.
Neighbours will return for a new series on Amazon Freevee in 2023.
