MANCHESTER UNITED will be out of action until at least May after the Premier League extended its coronavirus ban.
And that could also be bad news as far as United's move for Jadon Sancho is concerned, with the illness changing football's financial landscape by the minute.
Meanwhile, Alexis Sanchez faces having to return to the Red Devils, despite enduring a difficult spell at the club.

ROAD TO VIC-TORY
United have reportedly made Lille striker Victor Osimhen a “priority” signing ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old hotshot had scored 18 times in his 38 appearances before the season was suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The Nigerian international Osimhen only joined the Ligue 1 outfit from Belgian club Charleroi last July.
But his lethal form for Lille over the past few months has alerted several of Europe’s big guns to his talents, including United.
Now French publication Le10 Sport claim Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils have made getting the forward’s signature one of their priorities in the next transfer window.
According to that report, the Premier League giants feel Osimhen has “all the qualities” to succeed in England.
GOOD MORNING UNITED FANS
Things are hotting up in the transfer market with plenty of top players on Manchester United’s radar ahead of the summer.
The Red Devils have reportedly being given the green light to sign Barcelona star Samuel Umtiti.
Despite making Harry Maguire the world's most expensive defender at £85million, boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could make further additions to the backline this summer.
Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo look likely to leave, while there are doubts over whether Eric Bailly will ever reach his potential at the club.
Victor Lindelof is steadily improving and a decision will have to be made with Chris Smalling when he returns from a loan spell at Roma.
According to Sport, Barcelona are happy to ship out French defender Umtiti if their £46m valuation is met.
But one player who is not good enough for United is former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho.
That is the view from club legend Rio Ferdinand.
Speaking in an Instagram Q and A on Monday, he said: “At Liverpool he was an amazing player, but since he left he hasn’t really done it.
“I would have said Man Utd before Bruno Fernandes turned up, but not now.
“Barely any team can afford him where he would fit in. He wouldn’t fit into City, Liverpool, not any teams like that.
“Would he be a good addition, yes? Not Man United though, and he played for Liverpool so it is a difficult one. The rivalry is mad.”
Exclusive by Alan Nixon: Premier League stars are to be kept apart until May 1 — at the earliest.
The top flight is now in lockdown with clubs sorting fitness programmes that could see them make a full-on return to training SIX WEEKS from now.
Elite clubs do not expect to play again until at least June 1 because of the coronavirus crisisdespite action being suspended until April 30.
The newly-planned timetable would then see players given a ‘pre-season’ of a month before an intense programme of matches.
COUT AND PASTE
Chelsea are reportedly the only Premier League club to have shown firm interest in Philippe Coutinho.
Spanish publication Sport claim the Blues are keen on striking an initial loan deal with Barcelona for the former Liverpool ace.
Arsenal, Manchester United, and Spurs have also been linked with Coutinho and Barca would sanction a loan deal if clubs cough up £28m.
ERL OF NORTH LONDON
Manchester United have reportedly been joined by Spurs in the race to sign Erling Haaland.
Italian outlet TuttoMercato claim the Norwegian would become a replacement for Harry Kane if the England striker leaves for Old Trafford or Spain in the summer.
Haaland, 19, has been a revelation during a breakthrough campaign at Red Bull Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund where he has bagged 40 goals in 33 games this season.
