Mikel Arteta claims he will give Nicolas Pepe lessons on how to be a winger – as the Arsenal boss prepares to visit old club Manchester City in the Premier League on Wednesday.
The Gunners only broke West Ham's impressive resistance on Saturday once predictable Pepe was replaced, sub Alexandre Lacazette bagging a late VAR-confirmed winner.
And Arteta revealed he will show the £72million summer signing ways of keeping defenders guessing and improving his service to the frontline.
He said: “He needs to open more doors and be more unpredictable.
“He will improve as he has the talent, an immense quality and the willingness to do it.
“He needs to know where are the spaces for the strikers and when they want the ball delivered in certain areas.
Talking of frontmen, the Gunners are reportedly weighing up a move for their former reserve player Donyell Malen, valued at £48million by PSV Eindhoven.
Le 10 Sport suggest Arsenal are ready to rival AC Milan for the 21-year-old.
The Gunners are also thought to be caught up in another duel, albeit closer to home.
This time Manchester City are their rumoured rivals – for Aston Villa's 17-year-old Jaden Philogene-Bidace.
The winger hit six goals in ten games for the Villans' Under-18s before being promoted to the U-23s.
GUNNER GO FOR WILL
Arsenal are rumoured to be to eyeing a potential summer swoop for Chelsea star Willian.
Stamford Bridge officials are struggling to get the Brazilian to agree to a new two-year deal they've tabled.
Willian, who was on target for Chelsea during their 4-0 win against Everton on Sunday, is after a three-year contract.
French outlet Le10Sport claim the Gunners and their bitter rivals Manchester United could be poised to make a move if the winger does become available.
ATLETI'S LACA MOVE
Atletico Madrid have reportedly approached Arsenal with a view to making a bid for Alexandre Lacazette.
The Frenchman, who was on target for Gunners during their 1-0 win against West Ham, has scored just nine times in 26 appearances for the side this season.
Soccerlink claim Atletico's sporting director Andrea Berta has contacted the striker to discuss a possible transfer ahead of next season.
It's been reported Arsenal would be open to selling Lacazette for the right price.
HAMMER HAPPY AT ARSENAL
West Ham right-back Jeremy Ngakia says he's “proud” to have played against Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah on Saturday.
The Hammers teenager was part of a side who lost narrowly lost 1-0 to the Gunners at The Emirates.
And Ngakia, who's a West Ham academy product, has made a strong impression since his promotion to the senior side.
In his post on Instagram Ngakia, 19, said: “Not the desired result but we go again next week!
“On a personal note I'm proud to have shared the pitch with my brother Eddie Nketiah.”
ARSENAL CHASE VILLA WINGER
Arsenal are considering a move for Aston Villa youngster Jaden Philogene-Bidace but face competition from Manchester City.
According to Football Insider, Mikel Arteta is keen to bring the 17-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the season, to the Emirates.
Ajax and Bayern Munich are also keeping an eye on the winger.
Philogene-Bidace has scored six goals and assisted 10 in the Under-18 Premier League this season.
