Vicky Pattison has touched fans as she shared a sweet video of her mother Caroll and her grandfather David reuniting.
Former Geordie Shore star Vicky, 33, posted a touching clip of the pair singing You Are My Sunshine together after being separated for a year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Vicky’s grandfather is currently in a care home as he is being treated for Alzheimer’s disease and family have been unable to visit him due to the pandemic.
But, now both David, who Vicky calls her ‘granda’, and Caroll have been given the vaccine and have been allowed a Covid-safe visit – with Caroll wearing personal protective equipment including a face covering, apron and gloves.

Vicky shared the touching clip of her mother Caroll holding onto David’s hand while the pair sit opposite each other and sing, as David is set in a wheelchair.
The pair can be heard singing You Are My Sunshine before they stop and Caroll says: “Aww that’s lovely.”
The stunning brunette, who recently shared a rare video of her natural hair, posted the video on her Instagram page and explained to her 4.7million followers the touching story behind the video.
She began with: “We remember their love when they no longer can” followed by a purple heart emoji.
Vicky then told fans: “This is the first time my mam has sat with her dad, my Granda David, in over a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“They’ve now both been vaccinated and as you can see are still taking all the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of themselves and all the other lovely residents of my granda’s care home Aren’t they both wonderful?”
TV star Vicky continued: “I know the last 12 months have been incredibly difficult for us all and there are loads of people out there missing their loved ones & their relatives terribly at the moment and I just wanted to give you some hope.
“The world is slowly opening up and we can all feel better days are coming. There is finally light at the end of the tunnel and it’s a beautiful feeling when it hits your face” followed by a sparkle emoji.

Vicky then explained: “My Granda David has ALWAYS loved a sing song and it’s a small reassurance that despite what his Alzheimer’s has taken from him- it cannot take this
“Whether we were going on a road trip to the beach or Having a New Year’s Eve party my granda was always the first one up on his feet dancing and singing- the life and soul of the party and the beating heart of our family. And that is a memory no disease can take from me.
“Anyone who has been affected by Alzheimer’s will know how heartbreaking it is to watch the people you love struggle to remember the things that were once so important to them- the people he loved and the memories he spent a lifetime making. I know I can’t cure my granda so instead I will just be there for him and I will remember for the both of us” followed by a purple heart emoji.
Vicky then explained she is taking part in a Memory Walk to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society.
