Travis Scott’s ‘Franchise’ Debuts Atop Billboard Hot 100

Travis Scott‘s “Franchise,” featuring Young Thug and M.I.A., debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart, giving Scott his fourth Hot 100 No. 1.

Also, this is Scott’s third debut at the summit in less than a year, a new record for the fastest accumulation of three No. 1 entrances by any artist in the Hot 100’s history.

“Sicko Mode,” “Highest in the Room” and “The Scotts” previously debuted atop the Hot 100 chart. “Sicko Mode” debuted at No. 1 in December 2018, while “Highest in the Room” and “The Scotts” opened atop the chart in October 2019 and May 2020, respectively.

“Franchise”‘s climb also gives Young Thug his second Hot 100 No. 1, while for M.I.A., this is her first No. 1 on the chart.

The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming, radio airplay and sales data.

The song, released on Cactus Jack/Epic Records on September 25, logged 19.4 million U.S. streams and 98,000 sold (58,000 on cassette and CD; 40,000 digital downloads) in its first week, ending October 1, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. It also garnered 10.6 million radio airplay audience impressions in the week ending October 4.
