The Weeknd Sings ‘I’m A Virgin’ In Appearance On ‘American Dad!’

R&B singer The Weeknd made a guest appearance in the latest episode of TBS‘ animated sitcom “American Dad!”

In the episode, titled “A Starboy Is Born,” the Weeknd plays a character with whom Hayley Smith (Rachael MacFarlane) tries to get physical, along with the help of her husband, Jeff Fischer-Smith (Jeff Fischer). The singer thwarts their attempts and begins to sing an original song that reveals a secret about him – that he remains a virgin.

“Had a lot of girls in my day/ Wanted more from me/ But there’s really only one way/ To start a family/ And I know you can’t believe it’s true/ But I’m man enough to say to you/ I’m a virgin/ Never got close enough/ Cell phone blowing up/ But I’m waiting for the right person,” he croons in the new tune.

“I always wanted to play a character that was the opposite of the public’s perception of me – and of course make fun of myself,” the Weeknd told Variety.

“I’m a longtime fan of the show. I’ve been watching since high school but I really appreciated it about seven years ago,” he added.
“It’s been running for so long, and I feel like it has a real cult following. To really enjoy the show in its entirety you have to really know the characters.”

Meanwhile, his newest record, After Hours, enjoys the 4th spot on the Billboard 200 chart after reigning at No. 1 for four consecutive weeks after its release in late March.
