Simon Cowell throws extravagant party for his ex’s five-year-old daughter

Simon Cowell has thrown an extravagant birthday party for his ex girlfriend Terri Seymour's five-year-old daughter.

The music mogul dated TV presenter Terri from 2002-2008, and the pair have clearly remained firm friends as Simon pulled out all the stops for her daughter Coco.

Simon's partner Lauren Silverman, with whom he shares his six-year-old son Eric, was in attendance at the bash along with their son Eric.

Coco was greeted by Princess Anna and Queen Elsa in full costumes, and she posed for an adorable photo with her heroes.

Guests were treated to a two-tier cake topped by figurines of the two characters as well as an incredible photo-realistic print of Elsa.

Terri wrote on Instagram : "Today our beautiful, sweet Coco turned 5!! Happy Birthday to our kind, snuggly, funny, smart and curious angel. We love you so very much."

She also shared a sweet video of Coco and Eric playing with their birthday balloons together, which she captioned: "Thank you @simoncowell & #LaurenSilverman for the cutest Birthday lunch #balloons and #Cupcakes."

Terri previously revealed to the Daily Mail an adorable detail about Coco and Eric's friendship.

"Coco and Eric are like this," she said, crossing her fingers.

"They are really good friends we go on lots of playdates.

"Eric calls Coco his girlfriend, so it's scary.'

She shares Coco with her current partner Clark Mallon.

It was reported that when she split from Simon, he gave her a £6 million "parting gift".

Simon has been known to stay good friends with his ex girlfriends, as well as offering them a hefty payout.

He once told Weekend Magazine: “It’s not alimony. It’s, I believe, doing the right thing.

"That comes back to me wanting them to be happy, you just can’t do it too many times.”

He added: "You can’t have somebody in your life who’s become accustomed to a certain thing, and just because you don’t want to be in the relationship any more say to them, now everything is cut off.

"That doesn’t make sense."

He is also still close friends with ex Sinitta, who he dated in the 1980s.

She regularly joins him to help him judge acts during his X Factor stints.
