Congratulations are in order this morning for Pippa Middleton, who has welcomed her second child with her husband, James Matthews.
A family source confirmed the news to Bazaar.com and revealed that Pippa gave birth on Monday, March 15, at approximately 4:22 a.m. BST. Per the source, “Their daughter, who weighed 6 lbs. 7 oz., has been named Grace Elizabeth Jane.”
Pippa’s pregnancy was first reported late last year. “Pippa and James are thrilled—it’s fantastic news amid a difficult year. The entire family is delighted,” a source told Page Six at the time, which was the first to report the baby news.
Pippa and Kate Middleton’s mom, Carole Middleton, confirmed the happy news in a cover story for Good Housekeeping UK earlier this month. “I hope to see more of my family than I could last year, including, of course, my new grandchild,” Carole revealed to the publication. With the addition of Pippa’s new baby girl, Carole is now a grandmother of five.
Pippa is already mom to her 2-year-old son, Arthur Matthews. Arthur and Grace are cousins to Kate and Prince William’s children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Pippa and James tied the knot on May 20, 2017, at St. Mark’s Church Englefield, Berkshire, near the Middleton family home. Pippa wore a bespoke lace gown designed by Giles Deacon for her nuptials. Prince George was a page boy and Princess Charlotte was a bridesmaid at their aunt’s wedding, adorably stealing the show.
