Paul McCartney Reveals His Favorite Beatles Song

Beatles legend Paul McCartney has revealed his favorite Beatles song, which according to him was “so much fun” while recording.

The iconic musician was asked about his favorite song while speaking to Apple Music‘s Zane Lowe following the release of his latest solo album McCartney III.

“‘You Know My Name (Look Up the Number).’ We had such fun making it, it’s like a little comedy record!” he said. The track was released in 1970 as the B side of “Let It Be.”

“But there’s a lot of songs that I love of the Beatles,” McCartney added. “I think ‘Strawberry Fields’ is a great song; I think ‘Hey Jude’ worked out great. I’ve got a lot of favorite songs: ‘Blackbird’ I love, ‘Eleanor Rigby’ I love.”

When asked which Beatles song he has listened to the most, McCartney picked “Let It Be.”

“I would say probably ‘Let It Be’ … It’s the most ubiquitous. It sort of got everywhere. Ubiquitous from the Latin, ubi quo, meaning everywhere,” he said.
