Former Liberty X star Michelle Heaton has opened up on her battle with alcoholism and addiction following her stint in The Priory rehab centre.
The singer and reality star appeared via video link to discuss her journey on Loose Women, as she revealed her darkest days.
The 42 year old admitted that she was “on death’s door” at one point and things got so bad she would even make herself sick to be able to drink more.
The star was chatting with Kaye Adams, Frankie Bridge, Brenda Edwards and Janet Street-Porter on the panel on Wednesday, 4 August.
"It's the first step and it's the hardest step to admit that you have a problem," she told the group.
"Everyone's got a different story, but ultimately the end seems the same."
Bravely continuing her story, Michelle went on: “I became very very ill and about five years ago it got a hold of me, but I was happy in my addiction.
"It's always very difficult to say, 'I’ve got a problem', because it is fun. But it got a hold of me really badly about a year and a half ago.”
