The presenter gave an update on the return of The Martin Lewis Money Show Live, as he greeted the online community for the first time since July 29.

His first post said: “Boo!”

Money saving fans were quick to respond to Martin’s return.

One user said: “Boo! Welcome back! Plenty to get your teeth into. Bet you hardly know where to start.”

Martin then wrote a formal return post to his 1.1 million followers.

He said: “Hello & good morning. Hope you’re all well.

“Today is my 1st day back here after a month long media sabbatical. I’m actually finding returning a tad intimidating.

“I’ve realised how much of my stress levels social media generates. So aiming to keep it relatively chill for now!”

Many were quick to fill in the expert on what had been happening during his time off.

One said: “It’s changed while you were away. There’s no polarity on Twitter anymore, polite and respectful disagreement at worst.”

Another said: “I was just thinking that you were due back and here you are, hope you enjoyed your break.”

Martin also broke the news that The Martin Lewis Money Show will be returning imminently.

He replied to a tweet and said: “Angelica, the team and I will be restarting @itvMLshow live on Thursday nights from the end of this month, running until March (gulp).”(sic)

The expert presents the show alongside presenter Angellica Bell, 45, with the show hitting records of three million.

A fan replied: “Great news, don’t mind being ripped off if Angelica can sort it for me.”(sic)

Martin announced he was taking a well deserved break over a month ago.

He said: “Ta-ta for now. I’m about to start a Summer Social Sabbatical.

“I’ll be offline for a few weeks, instead focusing on family, relaxing, exercise, golf, time to think & watching the athletics.”

Users were sad to see him go, but there was nothing to worry about as his colleagues held the fort for him.
