Kanye West allegedly "feels very bad" about upsetting his wife Kim Kardashian after publicising private details about their family.

The 43 year old rapper is said to be "much more relaxed and chilled out for the past couple of days" following his explosive rants on Twitter, where he said he's been trying to divorce Kim since 2018.

A source told People magazine that the father-of-four has "regrets about sharing such private details" about his 39 year old wife at his first Presidential rally in South Carolina on Sunday 19 July.

Kanye, who suffers from bipolar disorder, had told the crowd that he had stopped Kim from aborting their daughter North, now seven, after "receiving a message from God".

The insider said: "He definitely understands that he upset Kim. He feels very bad about it. It's obvious that he still loves Kim."

Since then, the Yeezy founder is understood to have briefly gone to a hospital for "anxiety" following the series of outbursts before "getting uncomfortable and leaving" as there were "lots of people inside", according to TMZ.

A source told the publication that Kanye's people arranged for an ambulance to come to the ranch in Wyoming, where he has been staying.

The rapper allegedly entered the emergency room at a hospital in Cody on Saturday afternoon and "stayed inside for about ten minutes".

Shortly later, the Stronger hitmaker apologised to his Keeping Up With The Kardashians star wife as he wrote on Twitter: "I would like to apologise to my wife Kim for going public with something that was a private matter.

“I did not cover her like she has covered me. To Kim I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me. Thank you for always being there for me.”

Kim had previously spoken out about her husband's condition on Instagram, where she told her legion of followers that she's "powerless" amid his "painful" battle with bipolar disorder.

In her post, she wrote: "As many of you know, Kanye has bipolar disorder. Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does, knows how complicated and painful it is to understand."

"People who are unaware or far removed from this experience can be judgemental and not understand that the individual themselves have to engage in the process of getting help no matter how hard family and friends try.

"I understand Kanye is subject to criticism because he is a public figure and his actions at times can cause strong opinions and emotions.

"He is a brilliant but complicated person who on top of the pressures of being an artist and a black man, who experiences the painful loss of his mother and has to deal with the pressure and isolation that is heightened by his bi-polar disorder."
