Jesy Nelson has crushed her fans' dreams as she's denied working on Christmas music following her split from Little Mix last year.

The 29 year old announced her departure from the girlband in mid-December 2020 as it took a "toll on her mental health" and has since sparked speculation that she's working on the launch of a solo career.

The star has been sharing clips and has been photographed heading to a music recording studio in west London for the last few weeks and has now shared another video of herself jamming in the company of producers Patrick Jordan-Patrikios and Sunny on Friday.

In the clip, the men could be seen dancing as Jesy moved the camera around to reveal a small whiteboard leaning against the wall in the far corner.

Eagle-eyed fans managed to pause the clip in the right moment to find out that someone had written "Christmas songs/album" and "TV, film library album" as well as genres such as "pop", "indie" and "epic" on it.

Over this, Jesy had written: "This shouldn't be called work [emoji of monkey covering it's eyes] the leg [crying with laughter emoji] @iam_sunny_music @patrickpatrikios".

After being inundated by messages from fans who thought they'd cracked the code to her upcoming projects, Jesy had no choice but to explain that the whiteboard was for an entirely different musician.

Over a black background, she wrote: "The white board has nothing to do with me guys," [sic] followed by an emoji of a monkey covering it's eyes.

Jesy added: "but I do love you all for being top detectives," [sic] alongside a crying with laughter emoji and a detective emoji.

It comes as the Black Magic hitmaker recently opened up to fans about her body image and admitted she used to "mentally bully" and "starve" herself.

She shared a throwback photo of herself laying on the floor wearing a black sports bra and cycling shorts. The star appeared to look slightly red in the face, perhaps after a workout, and had her hand over her face.

Describing how she felt at the time the photo was taken, she wrote: “I just saw this picture pop up on my feed and it made me feel so sad.

“On the day this picture was taken, I remember going to the gym with my manager and I stood in the mirror and I said, ‘god I’m so fat I just want my legs to be like this’ and I pulled my skin around to try and create a thigh gap because I genuinely believed that being skinny would make me happier.”

Jesy admitted that after she got to a size eight figure, she still felt negatively about herself.

She said: “And even when I got to a size 8 from starving myself, I still wasn’t happy.

“I mentally bullied myself everyday to try to please other people. It’s taken me 10 years to realise that I’m the only person I need to please.”

Brunette beauty Jesy then gave an inspiring message to fans as she continued: “As humans we find it so easy to pay other people compliments but yet we find it so hard to be kind to ourselves because it’s so much easier to pick ourselves apart than to find the things we love about ourselves.

“So if you’re someone who is feeling like I was, please don’t waste years of you’re life seeking approval from others, seek approval from yourself. Be your number one fan.

"You are the one in control of your happiness and you are the only one of you in this world and that’s pretty f**king powerful!”
