A brand-new film documenting the 2020 Peter Green tribute concert is set to hit theatres in the U.K., Europe, Australia, and New Zealand later this year.
“The concert is a celebration of those early blues days where we all began, and it’s important to recognize the profound impact Peter and the early Fleetwood Mac had on the world of music,” shared drummer and co-founder of the band, Mick Fleetwood.
The film is a live recording of the tribute concert that was held at the London Palladium on February 25, 2020.
Tastefully curated by Fleetwood himself, the concert featured performances by a host of A-list artists, including Billy Gibbons, David Gilmour, Jonny Lang, Andy Fairweather Low, John Mayall, and Neil Finn.
“Peter was my greatest mentor and it gives me such joy to pay tribute to his incredible talent. I am honoured to be sharing the stage with some of the many artists Peter has inspired over the years and who share my great respect for this remarkable musician,” Fleetwood added.
Glyn Johns served as the executive sound producer and all the proceeds from the star-studded night went directly to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
The film will be exclusively screened in theatres across the aforementioned list of countries on June 2 and 7. It will also be available for purchase as a box-set.
