Christine McGuinness misses McDonald’s as her kids are ‘barely eating’ as they struggle with lockdown

Christine McGuinness has revealed two of her children are “barely eating” amid the coronavirus lockdown as they struggle with the change in their routine.

The 32 year old, who shares her three children with husband Paddy McGuinness, revealed the lockdown is a “massive change” to her three children, who are all autistic.

Christine is mum to twins Penelope and Leo, six, and Felicity, four.

Christine posted an old photograph of McDonald’s Happy Meals, drinks and a branded food bag sitting on a car seat on her Instagram as she opened up about why she is missing the fast food chain in the caption.

The mum, who recently joked she’s seeing her husband’s penis too much, wrote: “The one meal all three of my children would eat @mcdonalds we miss you!.

“I never thought I would wish for fast food for my children but as I expected the changes have affected them and two of my children are barely eating, it’s been like this for over 3 weeks now.”

The Take Me Out star’s wife then explained: “This is not ‘fussy eaters’ this is down to struggling with change, massive change in their little lives. I know we are not alone, I’ve had so many messages about McDs!”

Giving a shout out to some of her 388,000 Instagram followers who are also parents to children with autism, she said: “If you know, you know.. McDs is a ‘safe’ food, it always looks the same, it tastes the same, the texture and smell is always the same.. and it’s beige and dry,” followed by a praying emoji, OK emoji, laughing emoji and red heart emoji.

She then ended the caption on her post with: “sending love if you are in the same situation right now! #Autism #RestrictedDiet #McDonalds #BeigeFood #SensoryFood #DryFood”.

Christine, who recently posted a hilarious Tik Tik video with her husband Paddy, also revealed how her children’s sleep pattern has also been affected by the change in routine as she was asked by a fan in the comments: “Has this situation affected your children’s sleeping at night?”

The Real Housewives of Cheshire star replied with: “We’re barely getting sleep, all three of them are up and down all night”.

Earlier this year Christine revealed her daughter Felicity was diagnosed with autism, three years after her twin siblings were diagnosed.

Christine candidly wrote on Twitter: “Recently our youngest daughter Felicity was also diagnosed with autism, three years after our twins Leo and Penelope were diagnosed.

“We are here to love and support our three extra special children and I thank god every day these babies are mine. Proudest mummy.”
