On Wednesday’s This Morning, Alison Hammond revealed that she has been diagnosed as pre-diabetic.
The 45 year old told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that she needs to make changes to her diet in order to stop her developing type 2 diabetes and avoid a host of health issues.
Speaking directly to This Morning viewers, Alison asked them to help her too and to tell her to stop if they see her eating chocolate or sweets, as she can longer have them.
Holly and Phil were surprised at Alison announcing her health news on the ITV show, as they called her "brave".

She said: "I have had some news, guys, I am willing to share if you've got the time.
"I have found out that I am pre-diabetic, so I really need your help, and I have got to change my ways.
"If you see me out there buying any chocolate or sweets, please, please I am begging you, I am not allowed to have it.
"I've got to change my ways, this is serious now, pre-diabetes.
"There's a lot of people who are pre-diabetic and I think it's important.
"I've got a chance to turn it around, it is type 2, so I really want you help, and I need you."

"That's a really brave thing to say, I didn't think you were going to do that, well done you," said Phil.
"You've got a chance to turn it around, we are right here beside you," Holly added.
Phil then joked that he would use the two-metre social distancing stick in the ITV studio to target Alison if he saw her eating sugary snacks.
