Does Jessa Duggar's Appearance on Another TLC Show Suggest She's Changing Her Beliefs?

If you haven’t had your fill of the Duggar family just yet, youwill get a chance to catch JessaDuggar on another TLC show. Jessa, who married Ben Seewald in 2014, willmake an appearance on SayYes to the Dress: Atlanta. Jessa isn’t searching for a dress forherself or one of her sisters, or even a future wife for one of her brothers.Instead, she’ll be helping her husband’s sister, Jessica, find a dress for herwedding. The appearance has caught the interest of several family followersbecause Jessica doesn’t adhere to the same strict belief system that Jessa wasraised in. Could this mean she’s changing her stance on important issues?

Who is Ben Seewald’s sister Jessica?

Ben’s younger sister, Jessica Lester, is an Arkansas policeofficer. She doesn’t adhere to the Duggar family’s strict belief system and hasbroken several major Duggar family rules. Not only does Jessica have a joboutside the home, but she went the more mainstream route of dating her futurehusband instead of courting. Jessica’s husband, Phillips Lester, is also apolice officer, according to People.

Merry Christmas from our blue family to you! 🎄🎁

Jessica’s Instagram page is filled with all sorts of activitiesthat are considered verboten by the Duggar family. She wears shorts, she drinkswine, and she isn’t afraid to show off her impressive physique. Jessicaalso appears to enjoy spending time with Jill Duggar. Jill has largely beenexcommunicated by her own family. They haven’t mentioned her existence in overtwo years.

Why do Duggar family followers believe Jessa is changing her views?

Jessa’s willingness to appear on the show, when Jessica wasclearly interested in trying out dresses that didn’t adhere to theDuggar family’s modesty rules, has some fans questioning whether or not she’schanging her views. In past years, Jessa and her family would have primarilyavoided someone like Jessica. After all, they tend to stick close to home andactively avoid people who don’t follow the same ultra-conservative Christian beliefs.

For fans hoping to see Jessa break free, this seemed like a big step. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Ben and Jessa will be subscribing to a more liberal lifestyle anytime soon. Save for her appearance on the show, Jessa still strongly believe in courtship, has plans to homeschool her children, and doesn’t wear pants or any clothing that is considered revealing. She also follows the Duggar tradition of not using birth control and cutting her family’s hair at her dining room table to save some cash.

When will the episode air?

The newest season of Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta will premier in March 2020, according to The Hollywood Life. Jessica’s episode doesn’t have an official air date, but followers believe she’ll appear in one of the first episodes of the season. Jessica tied the knot in May 2019 and went dress shopping months before that, so the footage was likely filmed early on in the season.

According to the trailer, Jessa did try to get Jessica to considersome more modest dress options, but her choice, while not adhering to theDuggar’s modesty rules, is genuinely a gorgeous dress. Jessica has sharedseveral photos from her wedding on Instagram, and amodest wedding gown didn’t win out.

Jessa might have a better shot at a modest dress with anotherSeewald sister. Michelle Seewald recently announced her engagement. At just 18-years-old,Michelle appears to be following conservative modesty and courtship rules muchmore closely.

Lizzo Slapped With Copyright Suit Over 'Truth Hurts'

Three songwriters say they helped Lizzo write the smash hit song

Lizzo is being sued by three songwriters who claim they helped the songstress write her smash hit song “Truth Hurts” and then were left off the list of credited writers.

Justin Raisen, Jeremiah Raisen and Justin “Yves” Rothman filed their counter lawsuit Friday in California federal court after Lizzo initially sued them last year in an effort to get a judge to rule the trio did not deserve credit.

In their lawsuit, the three men say they recorded a song with Lizzo called “Healthy” just a few months before “Truth Hurts” came together. During the recording session, the songwriters say someone from Lizzo’s camp showed them a meme that read “I did a DNA test and found out I’m 100% that bitch” and Jeremiah “enthusiastically suggested they add this line to the song.”

When “Healthy” — which was meant to be a song about “health, sobriety and wellness” — was complete, the songwriters say the line in the song went, “I just did a DNA test turns out I’m a hundred percent that bitch, even when I’m holistic / gotta keep it realistic / I could be, guest-listed / but I’d rather be home, get rest, not twisted.”

Despite everyone liking the song, the songwriters say they were told “Healthy” would not make it on Lizzo’s EP. When “Truth Hurts” was released, the songwriters say they complained about being left off the credits but were largely ignored until a phone call between Lizzo and Justin.

“On March 26, 2019, Lizzo and Justin spoke on the phone,” the complaint says. “During the March 26, 2019 phone call, Lizzo admitted to Justin that elements of ‘Truth Hurts’ never would have been created without ‘Healthy,’ and admitted that [Ricky] Reed [a songwriter on “Truth Hurts] suggested to her that they take elements from ‘Healthy’ for ‘Truth Hurts,’ including the ‘100%’ lyric and melody. However, Lizzo also told Justin that she did not want to share any percentage of ‘Truth Hurts’ with the Raisens. In fact, Lizzo used the call as an opportunity to intimidate Justin into stalling his efforts to pursue the Raisens’ claims. Lizzo warned Justin to be wary of continuing to seek a percentage of ‘Truth Hurts,’ because, ‘you know … I’m not trying to have problems with you if you know what I’m saying … like I could be in a room with someone tomorrow that knows you … you know what I’m saying?’”

The countersuit also says there are other musical similarities between the two songs as well, including the overall structure of the chorus and verses.

In her original lawsuit, Lizzo’s attorneys stated the Raisens had previously given a written waiver of any right to the song.

The Chase: Bradley Walsh hits out at priest over incorrect bible answer ‘what you doing?’

Tea-time show, The Chase, is a favourite of ITV viewers who love to get their daily fix of quizzing. However, tonight contestant Alex left Bradley Walsh in shock after she got a Bible-related question wrong, despite revealing earlier on she was a pries

Four new contestants, Mike, Hilary, Terry and Alex, took to the podium in the hope of outrunning Paul Sinha and taking home the jackpot.

Two players managed to make it through to the Final Chase tonight playing for £12,000, but one moment earlier on in the episode got viewers at home talking.

Mike and Hilary managed to make it through as Terry was up next to try and get through with a chance of winning the cash fund.

He had won a staggering £9,000 in his cash builder round but was later caught by Paul after struggling in the head-to-head.

  • The Chase: Jenny Ryan hits out at player for wrong move

Alex was last up tonight as she hoped to join the duo in the quick-fire round after fellow contestant Terry had been unsuccessful.

As Alex got chatting to the host, she revealed she was a priest, before she took on her cash builder.

However, she made a surprise slip-up in on question as Bradley asked: “Dina was the only daughter of which biblical patriarch’s 13 children?” to which she replied: “Abraham”.

Bradley revealed the answer was Jacob and Alex was left frustrated by her error.

She told the host afterwards: “i knew a bible question would come up, and I already said, all along ‘If a bible question comes up, I know I will get it wrong'”.

Bradley added: “There was another one in there you knew that took me completely by surprise, Caesar’s Palace?”

The player laughed, insisting: “I’m not a gambler,” as Bradley replied: “What are you doing out in Vegas?”

Alex said: “You just see it in movies!” as he continued: “Are you trying to convert people in Vegas? What are you doing?”

As Paul returned, he commented: “I never normally say this but I think you’re better than you’ve shown, think you’ve fallen apart slightly by getting the Bible question wrong.”

The blunder didn’t go unnoticed by viewers of the show who took to Twitter after picking up on what had happened.

One commented: “Alex gets the religious question wrong. You couldn’t write it #thechase.”

Another said: “The priest got a bible question wrong.  #TheChase.”

A third wrote: “For a priest who likes to travel she doesnt know a lot about countries or the bible #thechase.”

“Alex the priest gets a question on the bible wrong. More than funny, #Thechase” said another.

  • Doctor Who spoilers: Major character to depart?

Unfortunately, she failed to beat Paul in the head-to-head as Hilary and Mark were back to take on The Chaser.

After Hilary’s impressive run, Bradley couldn’t help but comment on the fact Hilary had gotten all but three questions right, calling it “unbelievable.”

Paul also addressed it upon his return, joking: “Mike never thought someone your size could be carried for two minutes.”

Despite a close Final Chase tonight, the pair were caught with just five seconds remaining as they failed to do enough to outrun Paul – will next week’s contestants have more luck?

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV

‘The Witcher’: ‘Killing Eve’s Kim Bodnia Joins Season 2 Of Netflix Fantasy Drama

Kim Bodnia (Killing Eve) has joined the Season 2 cast of The Witcher, Netflix’s fantasy drama series starring Henry Cavill.

The series that the streamer calls its biggest new show is epic tale of fate and family — the story of the intertwined destinies of three individuals in the vast world of The Continent, where humans, elves, witchers, gnomes, and monsters battle to survive and thrive, and where good and evil is not easily identified.

Bodnia will play Vesemir, a charming relic of the witcher Golden Age. He is the oldest and most experienced Witcher in the series, as well as a father figure to Geralt (Cavill). As one of the survivors of the Massacre at Kaer Morhen, a haunting slaughter that nearly exterminated the Witchers, he is fiercely protective of the remaining few, who he sees as an endangered community who can find glory on “the Path” slaying monsters.

‘The Witcher’: ‘Dolittle’ Actress Carmel Laniado Joins Netflix Fantasy Hit As Season Two Gears Up In UK

“I am so thrilled to welcome Kim Bodnia to the cast of The Witcher,” EP and showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich said. “I have admired his unique talents in shows like Killing Eve and The Bridge, and cannot wait for him to bring strength, tenacity, and warmth to the character of Vesemir, who is such an integral part of our upcoming season.”

Danish actor Bodnia plays Konstantin, the handler of Russian assassin Villanelle (Jodie Comer) on BBC America’s Killing Eve. His other credits include Hostages and Bron.

Bodnia joins previously announced Season 2 new cast member Yasen Atourn, Agnes Born, Paul Bullion, Thue Ersted Rasmussen, Aisha Fabienne Ross, Kristofer Hivju and recent graduate Mecia Simson.

Along with Cavill, also returning to star in the show’s sophomore run are Anya Chalotra as the sorceress Yennefer, Freya Allan as Ciri and Joey Batey as fan-favourite Jaskier.

Executive producing alongside Schmidt Hissrich are Tomek Baginski, Jason F. Brown, Sean Daniel, Mike Ostrowski, Steve Gaub and Jarosław Sawko

Amazon Studios Acquires For Nicole Kidman’s Blossom Films Samantha Downing’s Bestseller ‘My Lovely Wife’

EXCLUSIVE: Amazon Studios has acquired film rights to Samantha Downing’s international bestseller My Lovely Wife, and is partnered on the film with Nicole Kidman’s Blossom Films.

The novel is described as a darkly comedic psychological thriller that explores the modern impulses of human nature. The principal characters are Tobias and his lovely wife, Millicent, who seem to be leading the perfect life with home and family. But they harbor a dark secret: husband has been helping his wife with her penchant for serial murdering. But when one of their victims is discovered, hubby realizes his lovely wife may not be as trustworthy as he had thought.

I’d heard last year that an Amazon deal was in the works, but it took awhile because there was going to be a major element in the mix. That turned out to be Blossom, which has become a leading generator of female-driven fare and in 2018 made a first look deal at Amazon for film, TV and digital. Run by Kidman and Per Saari, Blossom’s projects have included the Emmy-winning Big Little Lies, the David E. Kelley limited series The Undoing for HBO with Kidman starring, and the company is turning the Janet Y.K. Lee novel The Expatriates into a limited series as the first project under the Amazon deal. Neither Amazon nor Bloom would comment on My Lovely Wife or whether Kidman hopes to play the complex murderess at its center. Kidman is coming off the Jay Roach-directed Bombshell.
