Woman makes incredible DIY version of posh £200 Christmas garland using cheap Wilko & Home Bargains items

A WOMAN has revealed how she made her own stunning Christmas garland using cheap Wilko and Home Bargains items.

Natalie Hayton showed off the spectacular entrance to her home and people have been seriously impressed with her efforts.

She wrote on the Mrs Hinch Made Me Do It Facebook group: “Finally did my door garland.

“I did it myself rather than ordering ones that are £200+ they are beautiful don't get me wrong but I thought I'd give it a go.

“Let's hope it lasts the winter weather. I've not done one before so please be kind. Merry Christmas even if it is November.”

Natalie explained how she managed to achieve the beautiful garland on a budget.

She explained: “So I bought Wilko green garlands and snow flocked two myself and then I ordered an extra thick 9ft flocked one from ebay.

“So the extra thick one from ebay is around the top and the sides are the wilko ones folded to thicken them.

“Hung using command hooks the big ones and placed to suit them hanging correct.”

Natalie added that the decorations for the garland were from Home Bargains, Tyndalls (a local garden centre), Wilko and Asda.

Her post has racked up nearly 9,000 likes, so has clearly impressed fellow homeowners.

One wrote: “Stunning, you should make them and sell them" and another added: “The best I’ve seen well done it’s amazing.”
